Cape Verdean pride, wrapped by hand. This shot bottle was handmade on Fogo Island, Cape Verde and is fully wrapped in tightly wound cord in the colors of the Cape Verdean flag: a deep blue body with a red and white stripe, and on some pieces a ring of stars.
The wrapped stopper and cord finish make it as much a display piece as a bottle. Each one is wrapped by hand by local artisans, so the stripe placement, star design and cord color at the neck vary from piece to piece.
