Our Story

Our Story

The doll that made us stare in amazement.

Growing up in Haiti, Widline Pyrame received her first Black doll as a child and couldn’t believe one existed. That moment of recognition sparked a lifelong mission.

“We were so shocked to see that one existed — we just stared at her in amazement.”

— Widline Pyrame, Founder

Where It Began

A doll that finally looked like her.

Widline was born in Haiti and moved to the United States as a child, where the toys around her reflected a very different image of beauty. By age nine, she was already battling self-esteem — surrounded by dolls and media that didn’t look like her.

When her uncle gifted her and her sister a Black doll, everything changed. That single toy told them they were worth representing. Fusion Dolls was built to replicate that feeling, for every child who has ever looked at a toy shelf and not seen themselves.
